There are mysterious and marvellous Macc characters to learn about, or share your own stories Be inspired by famous stories in our magical local area: think the Wizard of Alderly Edge or Sir Gawain and the Green Knight Pictured: Becca's 'Cuckstoolpit Hill' Linocut, currently part of the Women's Town exhibition in the @silkmuseummacc, telling a story about the unknown women ducked in Waters Green pool. This workshop is for absolute beginners to those more familiar with this technique who are seeking to further their practice in designing a narrative piece; if you are not confident in drawing or designing your lino cut, then Becca will have prepared some images for you to transfer on to the lino, so you can get straight to the pleasant process of carving and printing. You will also tackle the tricky trick of carving text backwards!
